Gold Coast Fashion Week

13th - 17th May 2009. Gold Coast Fashion Week is the Gold Coast's most prestigious fashion event. With a worldwide reach, the event receives a large amount of local and international exposure, and now it is on again. What better place to hold a fashion showcase than the beautiful Gold Coast where their beautiful lifestyle matches their great fashion style. There will be an overall theme to this year's Gold Coast Fashion Week. It will be Australia's first - Swimwear, Summer-Wear and Holiday-Wear themed fashion event.

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

21st May 2009. The annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is a leading boat show in the Asia Pacific region. The 2008 event attracted more than 50,600 visitors, 455 exhibitors and close to 900 boats on display, four kilometres of displays, as well as pavilion and hardstand exhibits. The show has the largest on water boat display in the Asia Pacific region stretching more than five kilometres.

Blues on Broadbeach

28th May 2009. The annual Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival has attracted over 200,000 people since its inception in 2002, making this a world class event. Transcending the barriers of age, gender and culture, Blues on Broadbeach is one of Australia's most iconic Blues Festivals.

ANB Asia Pacific International Physique, Figure and Sports Model Championships

30th May 2009. The 2009 ANB Asia Pacific International Physique, Figure and Sports Model Championships will attract the hottest male and female bodies from across the globe battling it out for this prestigious title on Queensland's beautiful Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Airport Marathon

5th July 2009. In one of the most desirable holiday destinations in the world – the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia - is an event that motivates and challenges tens of thousands of people of all ages and abilities. It is the Gold Coast Airport Marathon to be next held on Sunday 5 July, featuring a marathon, half marathon, 10 kilometre run, community walk and junior dash. Now in its 31st year, runners and walkers of all ages will come from all over the world to experience the magnificent running conditions and beautiful course that runs alongside the Pacific Ocean surf beaches and Broadwater.

Tastes of Gold Coast

21st August – 6th September 2009. Feast your senses at Tastes of Gold Coast, the Gold Coast's annual showcase of local seasonal produce from the Gold Coast and the hinterland region in a two week showcase of wine and food events.

17th World Transplant Games

22nd August 2009. The 17th World Transplant Games is a celebration of the success of organ and tissue donation and transplantation. Held every two years, the games will attract more than 2,500 athletes and participants, covering 14 sports, including athletics, swimming, tennis, golf, badminton, lawn bowls, cycling, and 10 pin bowling.

ITU Gold Coast Triathlon World Championships

9th September 2009. The eyes of the triathlon world will be on the Gold Coast next year when the 2009 ITU Triathlon World Championships is staged at the Southport Broadwater Parklands.
Each year the triathlon world watches as the very best triathletes from around the globe gather to contest these annual championships.The five day event will feature upwards of 6,000 athletes, attract 50,000 spectators and will showcase the Gold Coast and Queensland to a global audience. The World Championships is the pinnacle of achievement for these athletes who will qualify through national selection to represent their countries.

SUPERGP – Gold Coast

22nd – 25th October 2009. A 4 day event held on the Gold Coast in mid to late October, covering the SuperGP and V8 supercar races. 4 days and nights of blazing sunshine, the hottest cars, hottest parties and the hottest beaches.

Magic Millions Carnival

1st January 2010. Over 17 days on the Gold Coast in January, the Magic Millions Carnival will boast numerous events. The cream of Australia’s yearlings are paraded before a sale like no other and many of these champion bred horses will go on to success at racing’s elite level before becoming immensely valuable stallions and broodmares later on. The sale attracts the most powerful buyers from across the globe as well as leading Australian trainers and the catalogue stands on its track record
